Tuesday’s Daily Acca has been boosted to 12/1 and it starts with the League Two leaders. Here are Paul Robinson’s selections:
Rovers to move further clear
Bet 1: Back Forest Green @ 8/13 – KO 19:45 GMT
We start in League Two where Forest Green should be able to beat an out-of-form, Exeter City.
The visitors have lost their last four in all competitions – three of which were in the league. They have dropped to eighth place, and are winless in three on their travels.
The hosts are the current division leaders – seven points clear of their nearest challengers, with this game in hand. They are unbeaten in 10 in the league – winning seven of them.
French cup tie to go the distance
Bet 2: Back The Draw in Lens v Lille @ 12/5 – KO 20:00 GMT
It’s an all Ligue One tie in the French Cup now, and I am finding it hard to split the two of them.
At the mid-way point of their respective league campaigns, only one point separates them, and while it is Lille who are in better form, they are the away side here.
When they met on this ground in September, Lens won 1-0, but they’ve been victorious in just one of their last seven in all competitions, while Lille are on an 11 match unbeaten run.
Class to prevail in Spain
Bet 3: Back Espanyol @ 11/10 – KO 20:00 GMT
Espanyol are odds-against to win away at Ponferradina in the Copa del Rey tonight, and while the hosts are doing well in the Spanish second tier, I have to side with the La Liga outfit.
The visitors are 11th in the top flight, and they have won five of their last seven in all competitions. Their away form has improved recently too, winning three of their last five on the road.
Ponferradina lost 2-0 at Real Oviedo on New Year’s Eve, and they needed extra time to beat Ibiza in the last round – and they were at home that day too.
