While Manchester City looks the likeliest option for Harry Kane, Rivaldo believes the England man would excel in La Liga and could even replace Messi at Barcelona…

There are growing rumours about Harry Kane’s exit from Tottenham. All the big English and European clubs are looking very interested.
Despite not being at the top of the betting right now I think that he could fit very well at Barcelona or Real Madrid. He is a great player with great skills around the box and the sort of prolific goal scorer who would bring a lot to any of these clubs.
If Kane decided to leave England to avoid hurting Spurs fans hearts, perhaps there’s a chance of him considering a move to La Liga. Of course, Barca or Madrid will need to invest a lot of money to capture the England striker and both clubs would need to be sure that Kane would fit with their managers’ plans.
Lionel Messi should already have made his decision
The season is almost at its end and Barcelona will only add a Copa del Rey to the trophy room after failing in Champions League and in the final few weeks of the La Liga title race. Even though it could have been important to earn more titles this season to motivate Lionel Messi, I don’t think that would have changed whetehr he stayed or left.
In my opinion, he will have already decided his future by now and it’s just waiting for the season to end – that’s the right moment to make an official announcement about his future.
If he is leaving for Manchester City or PSG, or is going to stay a little longer, we cannot be sure at the moment and we’ll have to wait a few more weeks before Messi communicates something about the subject.
Atleti and Lille under pressure
There was a time in which everyone thought that Atletico Madrid would win La Liga this season, but they ended up dropping a lot of points to reopen the title battle which will be decided on the final weekend. Diego Simeone’s team hold a slight advantage over title holders Real Madrid but it’s a tough final fixture for the leaders.
Atleti will visit a Valladolid team desperate to win and hoping for some favourable results in other matches to avoid relegation. I’m sure it won’t be an easy match for Atletico while Real Madrid have a home match against Villareal.
In France we have a similar picture after Lille dropped decisive points last week to give PSG hope of winning the title for one more season. PSG must win their match and hope for another slip from the leaders in the final round.
All responsibility will be on Lille’s shoulders and sometimes that added pressure can bring bigger problems and difficulties. I’m expecting a very exciting weekend in La Liga and Ligue 1.
Cristiano Ronaldo shouldn’t return to Real Madrid
It seems that Cristiano Ronaldo won’t stay at Juventus at the end of the season – no matter if they achieve a Champions League spot or not – and among other possibilities Real Madrid and Sporting Lisbon are being linked to the player.
Cristiano was born to football at Sporting and shined at Real Madrid becoming an idol in both clubs, and as I used to say it’s a bit dangerous to return to a club in which you left great memories because the fans will be expecting something similar and that might not happen since Ronaldo is 36-years old.
I don’t know what’s going to be his final decision, but I would suggest he doesn’t take that kind of option at this phase of his career because fans will be hoping for more special moments and he could find it difficult to deliver – despite still being a fantastic player with lots to give still.
