Paul Higham heads to the National League for Tuesday’s best bet with Solihull Moors expected to beat Wealdstone in a game with a few goals.
Wealdstone v Solihull Moores
Tuesday 5 October, 19:45 kick-off
Live on BT Sport
Only one place to go on a Tuesday night of an international break, and that’s to Grosvenor Vale in the National League as Wealdstone play host to Solihull Moors.
The hosts will be looking for a rersponse after being thumped 5-0 by Torquay last time out, and they are unbeaten in their last three at home although only one of those was a win.
Solihull Moors are just outside the play-off places in eighth place but most of their good work has been done at home, with just one win on the road so far and they suffered a bad 5-1 loss at Dagenham & Redbridge last time out.
Stuart Maynard’s Wealdstone sit just outside the bottom three and have struggled at home for a while, losing seven of their last 10 at Grosvenor Vale so the visitors will fancy getting a result here.
Apart from that surprise 5-1 away loss, it’s four wins in six for Solihull Moors but one area Neil Ardley’s men haven’t been so strong in is keeping clean sheets away from home – just one in the last eight in fact.
Solihull Moors won both games last season with plenty of goals involved – winning 3-0 and 4-1 – and it’s fair enough to suggest goals will again be served up here given how both sides have scored goals recently.
Wealdstone have scored in four of their last five home matches, while of their last six has seen over 3.5 goals in them. The visitors have bagged a goal in 16 of their last 17 league games.
So, there’s plenty of confidence in taking the 16/5 on the Sportsbook for Solihull Moors to win and both teams to score.
