It’s two from the Championship and one from the Champions League for Paul Robinson this evening and the treble pays around the 9/2 mark. Here are his selections:
Birmingham to be left singing the blues at Bramall Lane
Bet 1: Back Sheffield United @ 4/5 – KO 19:45 BST
The Blades were beaten at Bristol City on Saturday which brought to an end their run of three straight victories. Prior to their 1-0 reverse at Ashton Gate they had thumped Villa and Bolton, and also won against Norwich.
Chris Wilder’s side are definitely candidates for promotion this year following their promising campaign back at this level last season.
At Bramall Lane they lost to Swansea on the opening weekend, but since then it’s six points from six, scoring six goals in the process.
The visitors this evening are Birmingham, with the Blues yet to win this season. They drew for the fifth time in seven outings against West Brom last time out, so they are hard to beat, but it has to be noted that the game was at St Andrews.
Away from home it’s two defeats in three this year, and they finished last season with seven away losses from their final eight road trips.
More goals on the cards with Norwich involved
Bet 2: Back BTTS in Reading v Norwich @ 4/5 – KO 20:00 BST
The Royals picked up their first win of the season at the expense of Preston on Saturday, as they ended up on the right side of a five goal thriller at Deepdale.
The victory was much-needed as Paul Clement’s men had lost four and drawn two of their opening six games, and even an EFL Cup win over Birmingham couldn’t paper over the cracks.
Norwich have had a mixed campaign as after taking just a single point from their opening three fixtures, they have since gone on to take seven from the next available 12.
I have this one down as a high-scoring affair and I certainly believe that both teams will score. The selection would have landed in all three of the Canaries’ three matches away from Carrow Road this term and two of Reading’s three at the Madejski.

Men against boys in Bern
Bet 3: Back Man United @ 8/11 – KO 20:00 BST
Jose Mourinho has quietened his critics since their bitterly disappointing defeats to Brighton and Spurs, as they have gone on to win at both Burnley and Watford.
Keeping that winning run going tonight could be key in their hopes of getting out of Group H in the Champions League as tonight they face Young Boys, who, on paper at least, are weaker than Juventus and Valencia.
The reigning Swiss champions don’t have much of a pedigree in this competition as this is their first crack at the group stage. They knocked out Dinamo Zagreb to get this far though, and they have started their domestic campaign with six straight wins.
Class should tell in the end however, and United did play much better at Vicarage Road on Sunday. If Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez are on their game, this should be a no contest.
