Low-scoring affair on the cards at Elfsborg
Bet 1: Back Under 1.5 Goals in Elfsborg v Helsingborg @ 5/2 – KO 18:00 BST
Elfsborg are eighth of 16 in the Swedish Allsvenskan, but they have been struggling of late. They come into the match without a win in four, a run which saw them lose twice and only score two goals.
Helsingborg had been doing even worse (they are still only in 13th), but they at least ended a nine match winless streak by securing a surprise 1-0 success at Orebro last time out.
Neither of these two clubs have scored many goals this year – just 13 in 13 for the visitors, and this selection would have landed in the hosts’ last three outings in front of their own fans.
No respite for bottom club
Bet 2: Back Djurgarden @ 4/7 – KO 18:00 BST
Djurgarden are enjoying a fine campaign that has seen them win eight of their 13 fixtures to date. Five of those victories have come from their five most recent outings, and they kept clean sheets in four of them.
They are away from home this evening, but their last two away results were 3-0 and 2-0 wins, and they travel to the bottom ranked side here.
AFC Eskilstuna have collected just seven points from a possible 39 this term, and their only victory came in their season opener.
Since then it’s been four draws and eight defeats, and they were beaten 2-0 when they last played on this ground.
Expect goals with Sport Recife in town
Bet 3: Back BTTS in Sao Bento v Sport Recife @ 1/1 – KO 00:00 BST (Tues)
The Brazilian Serie B gets back underway tonight following a break for the Copa America, and I am expecting both teams to score when Sport Recife travel to Sao Bento.
The hosts have lost their last three outings, but two of them were away from home. Things don’t actually read too much better in their own stadium, however they have at least scored in three of their four matches there – keeping just the one clean sheet themselves.
Sport have started to motor in their pursuit of promotion, as after three draws to open, they have since gone on to win four of their next five.
The goals have been flowing too, and only the league leaders have outscored them thus far. An average of a goal a game conceded highlights their weakness though, and all three of their away fixtures have seen this selection land.
