There are more World Cup Qualifiers for Paul Robinson today and his Daily Acca has been boosted from 4/1 to 5/1. Here are his selections:
Danes to continue to be great
Bet 1: Back Denmark @ 1/2 – KO 19:45 BST
The Danes are well clear at the top of Group F, and despite the fact that Austria are in much more need of the points, I expect the leaders to win again.
The visitors are in fourth place, four points behind Scotland in second. They have three games to overhaul them, but they have already faced them twice, so they don’t have the opportunity to derail them directly.
Denmark have won all four of their matches since their Euro 2020 extra time exit to England – all without conceding a goal.
Austria bounced back from poor defeats to Israel and Scotland by beating the Faroe Islands 2-0 at the weekend, but that is hardly inspiring form.
Greece to take goals to Sweden
Bet 2: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Sweden v Greece @ 13/10 – KO 19:45 BST
Sweden have so far managed to keep pace with Spain at the top of Group B, as they trail them by just a single point – with a game in hand.
Given that they finish their qualification campaign at Spain, it’s important that they take maximum points from this fixture, and the one in Georgia in November.
The Greeks are in third, three points behind the Swedes, having played the same amount of matches. They can’t really afford to play for a point tonight, and that will hopefully lead to an attacking game.
The hosts are currently on a run of four to see this selection land, and the same can be said for three of Greece’s last five. It’s also worth noting that they haven’t failed to score on the road since September 2020 – a run of nine matches.
Entertainment at Wembley
Bet 3: Back Over 2.5 Goals in England v Hungary @ 4/7 – KO 19:45 BST
England are four points clear of Albania at the top of Group I, and despite a creditable showing in the Euros, Hungary are only in fourth place, with little chance of achieving a Play-off place.
Gareth Southgate’s men scored five times in Andorra, and they netted four in the reverse fixture against tonight’s opponents.
The manager played a weakened XI in Andorra, and it is expected that he will be back at full strength here. Goals should be almost guaranteed.
