Saturday Sports Multiple: A Leeds win the headline in a 9/1 weekend wager

Second-season syndrome has tripped up many promoted Premier League sides and there are signs that Sheffield United could be in for a rough campaign.

Last season Chris Wilder’s side performed way above expectations to finish ninth, but in three games so far this time round they’ve looked off the pace, losing to Aston Villa and Wolves in the Premier League and Burnley in the EFL Cup.

A Yorkshire derby is just the sort of occasion that might ordinarily kick-start the Blades’ season, but the lack of fans means this game will be just like any other. Leeds, meanwhile, have made an entertaining and confident start to their own return to the top flight, and they have the firepower to outscore their local rivals.

Both of these teams have made strong starts to their IPL 2020 campaigns so we could be in for plenty of entertainment when they meet on Sunday.

Kings XI lost out in a Super Over against Delhi in their opening game but they bounced back against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday, securing a 97-run victory, while Rajasthan posted an impressive 216 to beat Chennai in their opener.

This is likely to be a close game, but it may be significant that the Royals have already played once at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, while Kings XI have played both games so far in Dubai. The Royals also appear to have more balance in their line-up and look the better bet against opponents who may be over-reliant on KL Rahul and Glen Maxwell at the top of the order.

Dragons coach Dean Young was reportedly furious with his charges after their thrashing by Newcastle last time, so we may see them raise their game for this final match of the NRL season, despite having nothing to play for.

The problem for the Dragons is that still may not be enough, even against a Melbourne side that may take the chance to rest a few key players.

The Dragons have lost their last four games, and seven of their last nine, and it’s hard to turn around that kind of form against a top team like the Storm. Melbourne have racked up a record of 12 wins in 13 as they secured second place going into the Finals and they have enough strength in depth to add another victory to the collection.

Total Odds for this multiple: 9/1. Remember, multiple prices are based on our Sportsbook product, so any winnings are exempt from commission.
