We’re hoping for some entertainment in Germany, as Kev thinks he’s found a game that will have plenty of goals.

We suffered something of a kick in the teeth in France last night, as our boys Le Mans played against ten men from the 13th minute onwards against Orleans, but couldn’t force home a winner in a 0-0 draw. I could deploy the swear words I learned during my A-Level French studies, but I’ll show restraint.

We’ll head to Germany now, because Hoffenheim are up against Hertha in the Bundesliga, and I think we could be in for some fireworks.

Hoffenheim won their last home game 5-0 against Köln, but were then smashed 4-0 at Bayern, and it’s that inconsistency that continues to plague them. They hammered Holstein Kiel 5-1 in the DFB Cup in midweek, and they certainly have attacking players who are in form. If you look at their 11 competitive games this term, nine of them have featured at least four goals, and TSG can call upon a range of different goalscorers.

Hertha Berlin seem to found some momentum after a shaky start, and recent wins over Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach have seen confidence swell. The return to fitness of Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek has been a boost, and Dutch recruit Jurgen Ekkelenkamp has scored a couple of important goals as a supersub. A 3-1 win at Preussen Munster in midweek took the capital club into the last 16 of the DFB Cup.

Nine of Hertha’s last ten competitive games have featured at least three goals, so I’ll back Over 3 Goals here on the Goal Lines market at 2.245/4. If we see three goals in the match, we get our stake returned, but four or more gives us an odds-against winner.
