Tobias Gourlay’s spending Sunday in Spain, where Real Sociedad look well set to extend Getafe’s losing streak
Getafe v Real Sociedad
Sunday 17:30
In Germany yesterday, Monchengladbach made a fast start, scoring twice in the first seven minutes, and our goals bet never really recovered. The visitors eventually won 3-1 in Wolfsburg to leave us empty handed.
We’re looking to make our money back in Spain this evening. One of today’s top-flight La Liga matches bring third-placed Real Sociedad to rock-bottom Getafe and we like the chances of the visitors taking all three points.
Getafe have lost all of their first seven matches of the Liga campaign. Michel’s men have scored just twice across all seven games. They have already lost at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez to the teams either side of Sociedad in the current table (second-placed Atletico Madrid and fourth-placed Sevilla).
Last season, Imanol Alguacil’s Sociedad won both league meetings with Getafe and eventually came home fifth. This season, the Blue & Whites are going well again (W5-D1-L1). Only fellow top-half outfits Barcelona and Sevilla have stopped them taking all three points. Home and away, the Basques have won 4/4 against teams alongside Getafe in the wrong half of the table. At an odds-against price, we’re backing them to make it 5/5 this evening.
