We’re looking for a third straight odds-against winner, and Kev thinks he’s found one in Croatia.
“Inter Zapresic have the worst defence in the league, and their last eight games have featured at least four goals.”
Doomed visitors to contribute to a thriller
Inter Zapresic v Rudes
Thursday 09 May, 17:00
A dose of Danish delight for us last night, as our pick Silkeborg smashed Thisted 5-0 to comfortably land our Asian Handicap bet.
We’re heading to Croatia now, because there’s an intriguing clash on the horizon between Inter Zapresic and Rudes in the top flight.
Rudes (stop sniggering at the back, children) are doomed to relegation, having collected a pitiful 11 points from their 32 matches. They have leaked 73 goals, and only this evening’s opponents have conceded more often this season. Rudes’ decline has come as a surprise to some extent, because they managed to finish eighth last season.
Inter Zapresic aren’t safe from dropping into the relegation playoff spot, and they still have work to do. Their recent games have been mind-bendingly lively – their last eight league matches have seen an Over 3.5 Goals bet pay out, including a 7-0 defeat at Rijeka and a recent 3-2 loss at Hajduk Split. They concede an average of 2.34 goals per game.
Given Inter’s recent penchant for shootouts, I’m amazed to see Over 3.5 Goals trading at [3.1], so that’s the way we’re heading.
