After securing a winner in France, Kev’s going for another in Spain tonight.

Monaco gave us a scare last night, as they fell behind early on to amateur side Rumilly Vallieres in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France. Thankfully for us, ASM recovered to smash their opponents 5-1 to give us our first winner of the week.
We’ll head to Spain now, because promoted Espanyol are up against Caratagena, and I’m backing the hosts to continue their outstanding home form.
Espanyol were always likely to be one of the favourites to return to La Liga, but they have still performed very impressively. The Barcelona-based side are six points clear at the top of the table, and they have already secured their return ticket to the elite level. However, the title hasn’t yet been wrapped up, so there is something still to play for.
Espanyol are chasing a sixth straight home win, and they have conceded a solitary goal across the previous five matches at the RCDE Stadium. Overall, they have won seven of their last nine matches, and they have racked up six clean sheets along the way.
Cartagena are battling the drop, and you could say that they obviously have more motivation than Espanyol, but they are still worthy underdogs here. A run of one defeat in eight has lifted the Boquerones out of the dropzone, but on the road they have lost four of their last seven.
Cartagena were in the third tier last season, so there is a big quality gap here, and I believe that will show tonight. Espanyol won the reverse fixture 3-1, and I think they’ll pick up their 16th home win out of 20 this evening.
