We’re kicking off a new week on FBOTD, and Kevin Hatchard is starting the journey in Denmark’s second tier.
“Hvidovre have made an excellent start to the season, winning four of their six league games, and they smashed Hobro 4-0 as recently as May.”

Hvidovre v Hobro

Diego Costa is an unusual choice for a superhero, but the burly Brazilian rescued our Tobias last night, as his 85th-minute leveller for Atletico Mineiro at Bragantino landed a BTTS bet.
We’ll kick off our week together in Denmark, because there’s an intriguing clash in prospect between Hvidovre and Hobro in the second tier.
Hvidovre, who once had a certain Peter Schmeichel on their books, have made a strong start to the season. They have won four of their six league games, and lost just once, and they hammered Herstedoster 9-1 in the Danish Cup. Hvidovre are coached by former Bolton midfielder Per Frandsen, and he’s been in charge since 2017.
Hvidovre smashed Hobro 4-0 in May, and they’ll fancy their chances of defeating them again this evening at the Pro Ventilation Arena. Hobro haven’t won any of their six games so far in the league, and they have collected a paltry three points. They went out of the Danish Cup on penalties to third-tier side Brabrand, and they haven’t won any of their last 14 road matches in the league, a sequence that stretches back to November 2020.
Hobro have avoided defeat in their last two away games, but those draws were against bottom-half sides, and I just think the price of 1.9520/21 for a home win is too tempting to resist. Stretching back into last season, Hvidovre have won six of their last ten league home games, and I think they’ll enhance that record.
