Amiens to save themselves
Bet 1: Back Amiens @ 8/15 – KO 20:05 BST
The situation for Amiens is clear, if they win, their position in the French top flight will be secured for next season. They can draw or even lose and end up safe, but then they would be relying on other results to go their way.
Given that, I can’t imagine them not taking all three points this evening, especially as they are at home against the already relegated, Guingamp.
The negative against them is that they haven’t won quite a while, but since their last success, they have at least drawn seven of their nine outings.
The visitors meanwhile are bottom of the table and will finish there even if they win tonight. It’s very hard to see that happening though as they have been beaten in five of their last eight on the road – the other three were draws.
Goals at Stade Vélodrome
Bet 2: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Marseille v Montpellier @ 8/15 – KO 20:05 BST
The battle for fifth place in Ligue One is between these two clubs, and it’s Montpellier who currently hold a one point advantage.
It’s the goal side of things that I am concentrating on here as each team has been involved in plenty of high-scoring affairs of late.
Overall this season, Marseille’s matches have averaged exactly three goals per game, with 22 of their 37 to date seeing this selection land – including their last four on this ground.
Montpellier can’t boast the same kind of numbers as that, but their average is still up at the 2.54 mark, and four of their last six on the road have finished with at least three goals.
Attacks to shine at Nimes
Bet 3: Back Over 3.5 Goals in Nimes v Lyon @ 4/5 – KO 20:05 BST
The stats are pointing towards a goal-fest at Nimes this evening as when it comes to goals per match that they are involved in, these two teams sit fourth and second in the ranking, respectively.
The hosts have an average of 2.97 goals per 90 minutes, with 13 of their 37 ending with the ball in the net on at least four occasions. They drew 2-2 last time out, and they have scored at least twice in five of their last six on this ground.
Lyon only trail PSG when it comes to goals scored this season, and with 45 conceded at the other end, their games are averaging 3.03 goals each time.
Like their opponents, 13 of their 37 have seen Over 3.5 backers collect, and they netted three times in each of their last two away matches.
