Inter to win again
Bet 1: Back Inter @ 6/10 – KO 19:45 BST
Defending Serie A champions, Inter, showed no sign of weakness in their opening match of the season, despite the fact that they have lost their manager and best player.
Simone Inzaghi led them to a 4-0 thrashing of Genoa, and I think that they are more than capable of winning at Verona tonight.
The hosts were beaten 2-3 at home by Sassuolo in their opening fixture, and even they finished 10th last term, they ended the campaign in dreadful form – their last Serie A victory was on April 3rd.
A hard night for the defence in Nantes
Bet 2: Back BTTS in Nantes v Lyon @ 8/13 – KO 20:00 BST
Peter Bosz is the new man in charge of Lyon, replacing Rudi Garcia who could only lead the team to a fourth place finish last year – missing out on Champions League football.
Things haven’t started well for the former Leverkusen manager though as his Lyon side have taken just two points from a possible nine – conceding a total of seven goals.
Today they travel to Nantes, who were lucky to escape relegation last year. They have made a solid enough start now though, winning one and drawing one of their first three outings.
Goals should be on the menu at Stade de la Beaujoire, as defending is neither team’s strong suit. It’s also worth noting that when they met here in April, both teams scored in a 1-2 away win for Lyon.
Valencia to see-off Alaves
Bet 3: Back Valencia @ 4/5 – KO 21:15 BST
Valencia have made a bright start to the La Liga season, beating Getafe 1-0 at home and then picking up a solid point at Granada. They were only mid-table last year, but things could be better this time around, especially with José Bordalás in charge.
Bordalás is a former manager of Alaves, so he will keen to get one over on his old employers tonight, and with the visitors having been beaten in both of their matches so far, it should be achievable.
Babazorros, as they are nicknamed in Spain, lost 1-4 to Real Madrid, and then were beaten again at home last weekend, 0-1 by Real Mallorca.
That really isn’t very good form, and they had a terrible away record last term – winning just three of 19 and losing 11.
