Inter are the new favourites to win Serie A, following a decent start and a difficult one for their title rivals, and they are backed to win at Sampdoria on Sunday morning.

Chloe Beresford says: “Inter may have lost Antonio Conte and Romelu Lukaku, but they have yet to miss a beat. Simone Inzaghi is now in the hotseat and he has helped the Nerazzurri maintain the impressive pace they set last season, rolling to comfortable victories over Genoa and Hellas Verona.

“Samp have yet to score this term, losing 1-0 to AC Milan and drawing 0-0 with Sassuolo, and the Infogol model expects them to suffer another defeat here.”

Chloe’s bet: Back the 0-2 @ 8.515/2

Leeds v Liverpool

Liverpool are 7.06/1 to regain the Premier League title this season. They’ve made a decent start and now travel to Elland Road for a Sunday lunch-time clash.

Kevin Hatchard says: “Liverpool took four points from games with Leeds last term, and they were close to taking six, only to be denied by a late leveller at Elland Road. It’s worth remembering that the 1-1 draw in question was at the height of the Super League debacle, with Liverpool’s players jeered on the way into the stadium. A tired and depleted side still came away with a point, and Liverpool look in far better shape now than they did then.

“Stretching back into last season, Liverpool have won seven of their last eight Premier League games, and our friends at Opta tell us that only Brentford are on a longer unbeaten run in England’s top four divisions. Klopp’s men have looked strong this term, racking up Expected Goals For figures of above 2.0 in each of their three matches. Even if Alisson, Fabinho and Firmino are ruled out, the loss of Raphinha to Leeds on the same basis will be equally significant.

“I think 1.84/5 for a Liverpool win on the Exchange is a bit big, so I’ll happily back that outcome. If you want to beef up that price a bit, you can back Liverpool to win and Over 1.5 Goals on the Sportsbook at 2.01/1.”

Kevin’s bet: Back Liverpool to win at 1.84/5

Espanyol v Atletico Madrid
13:00
Live on La Liga TV

Antoine Griezmann is back at the club where he made his name and that can only be good news for the La Liga champions starting on Sunday at Espanyol.

Dan Fitch says: “Atletico have brought Antoine Griezmann back from Barcelona on loan. It was an outstanding bit of business by Atletico and for the player, he’s back at the club where he’s most likely to flourish. Various Barcelona managers struggled to find a suitable role for the French international, but we know Simeone will play him where he’s best, as a number ten, just behind the striker.

“It’s been a poor start to the season for Espanyol, who drew their first two games 0-0, before losing 1-0 at Mallorca. With Espanyol having failed to score so far, there’s a temptation to back Atletico to win to nil at 3.02/1, but play it safe and simply go for an away win at 1.9720/21.”

Dan’s bet: Back Atletico Madrid to beat Espanyol at 1.9720/21

Nottingham Forest v Cardiff

Live on Sky Sports Football

Mark O’Haire says: “Matches between Nottingham Forest and Cardiff have rarely been thrilling affairs – eight of the previous 10 match-ups across all competitions have concluded with Under 2.5 Goals 1.608/13 and five of the most recent six paid out for Under 1.5 Goals 2.8815/8 backers.

“With Chris Hughton and Mick McCarthy in charge of their respective clubs, it’s hard to imagine Sunday’s showdown producing a goal-heavy clash, even though the duo have combined to see exactly half of their collective 10 games this term beating the Over 2.5 Goals 2.255/4 barrier.

“With that in mind, I’m happy to take the 1.991/1 available on Cardiff Double Chance and Under 2.5 Goals.”

Mark’s bet: Back Cardiff Double Chance and Under 2.5 Goals at 1.991/1

Lyon v Strasbourg (9th vs 13th)
Sun, 19:45 BST
Live on BT Sport 3 and Betfair Live Video

If you’re looking for Sunday night drama then Lyon could be the place as two potent attacks and dodgy defences meet in the French top flight.

James Eastham says: “Goals will be the order of the day when Lyon host Strasbourg in the big televised game on Sunday night. Lyon have attacked well but defended poorly so far this season. Their four games have averaged three goals a game, with two of the four featuring three or more goals.

“The same strengths and weaknesses apply to Strasbourg. The visitors lost a number of central defenders over the summer and new manager Julien Stephan has embarked on a defensive rebuilding programme that is far from complete.

“Strasbourg have conceded eight games in their four fixtures to date and will struggle to shut out Lyon’s dangerous front line.

“At the other end, however, Strasbourg can count on the attacking threat posed by three dangerous strikers: Ludovic Ajorque scored 16 goals in 35 league appearances last season, while fellow striker Habib Diallo weighed in with nine goals of his own.”

James’s bet: Back Lyon vs Strasbourg Over 3 Goals on the Goal Lines market @ 1.9520/21
