The Daily Acca: White Hart Lane to be rocking

Derby’s goal-glut to continue

Bet 1: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Blackburn v Derby @ 20/23 – KO 19:45 BST

The Rams blew a golden opportunity to move level on points with Bristol City in sixth place on Saturday, as they let the lead slip on three occasions at Brentford, to eventually share the points in a six goal thriller.

Frank Lampard’s side have rediscovered the scoring touch of late as prior to that they put six past Rotherham, but they again failed to keep a clean sheet.

Blackburn meanwhile fell to their third straight defeat – their ninth in 11 matches – but luckily for them, they are probably far enough clear of the relegation zone to be safe.

As far as the goals go, they have kept just the one clean sheet in their last five at Ewood Park, and while they have struggled for goals of their own, they were banging them in earlier in the campaign.

History to repeat itself between Liverpool and Porto

Bet 2: Back Liverpool to win to nil @ 1/1 – KO 20:00 BST

The Reds are probably still not quite at their brilliant best, but the 3-1 victory at Southampton was their fifth straight win in all competitions, and like last season, I expect them to ease past Porto.

The Portuguese club were beaten 5-0 on aggregate on that occasion, and that doesn’t tell the full story as Liverpool had their feet up in the second leg after winning 5-0 at Estádio Do Dragão.

Jurgen Klopp’s defence are even better this season, and they have kept plenty of clean sheets at Anfield – including against Bayern Munich in the previous round.

Spurs to throw a spanner in City’s trophy quest

Bet 3: Back Tottenham @ 7/2 – KO 20:00 BST

Manchester City have oozed class this year and have every chance of winning the quadruple. A tie against Spurs won’t be ideal for them however, in my opinion, and I quite fancy the North Londoners to edge tonight’s match.

I was worried about how Tottenham would do in their new stadium against Crystal Palace, but they passed the test with flying colours, and that should settle their nerves following a poor run of results.

There isn’t much to pick holes in for Man City, but I would mention that the games are coming thick and fast for them at present, and I am still not convinced by their defence.

If the hosts can play at their best, I genuinely believe that they can spring a surprise here.
