The Daily Acca: Juventus to be the kings of Lyon

Home win in Belarus

Bet 1: Back Vitebsk @ 7/5 – KO 16:00 BST

The hosts saw their unbeaten run come to an end last week, but that was a narrow defeat at Dinamo Brest, and it can be forgiven.

They should be able to get back on track today against an Isloch side who have lost three of their last four on the road. They did win at Slavia, most recently, but that isn’t much to write home about.

Vitebsk are unbeaten in seven at home, with three of their last four being victories.

Old Lady to rise to the occasion

Bet 2: Back Juventus to Qualify @ 20/23 – KO 20:00 BST

Juventus have work to do if they want to make it through to the last eight of the quarter-finals, as they have to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg back in February.

Conceding an away goal would prove disastrous for Maurizio Sarri’s men, but they are a big game players, and I am not concerned by their end of season Serie A results as the league was already pretty much wrapped up.

Lyon have only had the opportunity to play one competitive game since the end of lockdown, and while they held PSG to a 0-0 draw, I feel that they have too much to do in Turin.

No mistakes at the Etihad

Bet 3: Back Man City 3/4 – KO 20:00 BST

Manchester City already have one foot in the last eight of the Champions League, and I don’t expect them to let Real Madrid back into the tie at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola’s team were largely superb since the Premier League returned, and while they fluffed their lines in the FA Cup, they hammered most other sides.

The visitors won La Liga, which was their main aim for the season, and I can’t see them rousing themselves to even threaten City this time.
