Lennon to guide Hoops to an away win
Bet 1: Back Celtic @ 4/9 – KO 18:45 BST
It’s the 1st Qualifying Round of the Champions League today and Celtic should justify favouritism against Sarajevo.
The Bhoys have had the odd iffy result in the early rounds of this competition, but they are in a safe pair of hands in Neil Lennon, and he has plenty of experience at this level.
Their opponents are having their first foray into this tournament since 2015, and the reigning Bosnian champions have never reached the group stage.
The Bosnians do of course have home advantage tonight, but I expect the Scots to have enough class to build a lead to take back to Celtic Park.
Vitoria to have their turning point
Bet 2: Back Vitoria @ 6/5 – KO 23:15 BST
The selection have made a terrible start to life in Brazil’s Serie B, following their relegation from the top flight. They are better than that though, and they have at least picked up a win in a friendly during the break for the Copa America.
They currently sit right at the bottom of the division, having taken just four points from their opening eight games, but they have only played at home three times – one of which was a win.
Opponents, Cuiaba, came into this league from the other direction as they were promoted from Serie C. After a bright start that saw them go four unbeaten – two wins and two draws – they have since lost their momentum.
The visitors have now lost their last four, and I expect them to be beaten again tonight.
Attacking talent to flop in Brazil
Bet 3: Back Under 1.5 Goals in Criciuma v Coritiba @ 13/8 – KO 01:30 BST (Wed)
The other Brazilian Serie B match tonight should be a low-scoring affair as I just can’t see many goals between Criciuma and Coritiba.
The former have netted just five in eight appearances this term, and that has led to five of their eight games seeing this selection land.
Coritiba have fared better with nine scored, but six of those were at home, and on their travels, they are averaging less than a goal a game.
