Dan Fitch fancies Galatasaray to win against a Schalke side near the foot of the Bundesliga…
Galatasaray [2.78] v Schalke [2.88]; The Draw [3.35]

Only a point between Galatasaray and Schalke
Group D always looked likely to be an open affair and after two games only a point separates third placed Galatasaray and joint leaders Porto and Schalke.
Galatasaray got off to a flying start with a 3-0 home victory over likely group whipping boys Lokomotiv Moscow, but were beaten on their trip to Porto. The Turkish giants are in mixed form, with three losses from their last eight games (W4 D1).
Schalke have made a contrasting start to their Champions League and Bundesliga campaigns. In Europe they are undefeated, following their 1-1 home draw with Porto with a late winner to beat Lokomotiv Moscow on the road.
Things are not going nearly so well domestically. Schalke are 16th in the table, just a point above the relegation zone. At the weekend they lost 2-0 at home to Werder Bremen, which brought an end to an encouraging run of three straight wins.
Gala home form can continue
There is very little between these two sides in the odds, but Galatasaray’s home form suggests that they might be available at a generous price.
They have yet to lose at home this season, with all of their defeats coming in away games. What’s more, Friday’s 1-1 draw with Bursaspor was the first home match of the season that Galatasaray did not win (P6 W5 D1).
With Schalke struggling you have to back the hosts, especially when their price is big enough to cover the draw. Back Galatasaray in the Draw No Bet market at [1.95].
