Club Brugge v PSG: French superstars making habit of scoring early

PSG have gone ahead early in all of their games this season and Dan Fitch is backing them to carry on that habit when they travel to Club Brugge in the Champions League.

Strongest PSG squad yet

PSG’s latest attempt at winning the Champions League begins at Club Brugge on Wednesday night.

Even by their own standards, it’s been a very busy and successful summer in the transfer market for PSG. Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Sergio Ramos, Danilo Pereira, Georginio Wijnaldum and Lionel Messi have been brought in, while an attempt by Real Madrid to sign Kylian Mbappe was thwarted.

It’s fair to say that the current squad is the strongest that the club have ever had. In particular, a front three of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe is an incredibly exciting prospect and is a combination that is likely to be mainly fielded in the Champions League. Domestically, it’s been a strong start from PSG, with Mauricio Pochettino’s team winning all five of their games in Ligue 1.

Club Brugge won 3-0 at home to KV Oostende at the weekend and are top of the First Division A (P7 W5 D1 L1). Their sole defeat this season was a concerning one, as they prepare to face PSG’s superstars. Brugge were beaten 6-1 at Gent prior to the recent international break.

PSG have been going ahead early

PSG are the 1.251/4 favourites to win, with the draw at 7.06/1 and a Club Brugge win out at 15.014/1.

If looking for a reliable way to boost that price for an away win, the best option could be for PSG to win half-time/full-time at 1.84/5, with that bet landing in all five of their Ligue 1 games this season.

PSG won 4-0 at home to Clermont at the weekend. Three of their five games have seen them score four goals and you can back a PSG win and over 3.5 goals at 2.47/5.
