The Daily Acca: Arsenal to concede against Standard Liege

Paul Robinson is concentrating on the Europa League this evening and his Daily Acca comes in at around the 15/2 mark. Here are his selections:

Points to stay in Italy

Bet 1: Back Lazio @ 4/7 – KO 20:00 BST

The Italians lost their opening game in Group E by two goals to one at CFR Cluj. They are back on home soil this evening though, and they have a good record in front of their own fans.

Simone Inzaghi’s side are unbeaten in three home matches this term – two wins and a draw against rivals, Roma. They also won their first two home group games in this competition last year.

Rennes have made a disappointing start to their campaign, as after initially winning their opening three outings – including a victory over PSG – they have since gone six without a victory in all competitions. They don’t have a great away record and the hosts really need the three points this evening.

Arsenal to win but they won’t keep it clean

Bet 2: Back Arsenal & BTTS @ 6/4 – KO 20:00 BST

The Gunners made the perfect start to their Europa League campaign as they won 3-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt. It was a rare clean sheet for Unai Emery’s side, and I doubt that they will keep one against Standard Liege.

The Belgian club also won their opening Group F fixture, and they come into this game five unbeaten in all competitions. They certainly know where the goal is and forward, Maxime Lestienne has five goals in eight league starts this year.

More goals between old rivals

Bet 3: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Celtic v CFR Cluj @ 23/20 – KO 20:00 BST

We finish at Celtic Park for what should hopefully be a high-scoring affair between the Scottish champions and CFR Cluj.

These two teams met back in August in the Champions League and the two legs produced nine goals. The first in Romania finished 1-1, and it was the visitors who came out on top in the second – winning 4-3.

I expect more goals in this third meeting too as Neil Lennon’s men have netted three or more in their last three in front of their own fans, and CFR Cluj won’t feat this Celtic defence.
