Premier League Cheat Sheet: A tip for every match this weekend

Dan Fitch analyses the Opta Stats to bring you a bet for every Premier League game and he particularly likes Newcastle’s price to beat relegated Fulham.

Brighton can carry on scoring

Arsenal 1.664/6 v Brighton 5.59/2; The Draw 4.57/2
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on Sky Sports Arena

“Brighton won this exact fixture 2-1 last season, their first ever top-flight away win against Arsenal (D2 L4).”

The Seagulls beat Manchester City 3-2 in midweek and you can back both teams to score at 1.834/5.

Chelsea will get win they need

Aston Villa 6.86/1 v Chelsea 1.538/15; The Draw 4.94/1
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on Sky Sports Action

“Chelsea are unbeaten in each of their eight away league games under Thomas Tuchel (W6 D2), conceding just four goals in total and never more than once in a match.”

A win would guarantee Chelsea a place in the Champions League. You can back them to claim victory and for under 2.5 goals at 4.03/1.

Magpies can fly away with a win

Fulham 2.166/5 v Newcastle 3.412/5; The Draw 3.953/1
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on Sky Sports Mix

“Fulham have lost each of their last five Premier League home games – in their league history, they’ve only lost more consecutively at home once before, losing seven in a row between November 1961 and February 1962.”

With Newcastle winning two of their last three games (L1), it’s a surprise to see Fulham as favourites. Back Newcastle to win at 3.412/5.

Leeds will win again

Leeds 1.4840/85 v West Brom 6.86/1; The Draw 5.59/2
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on BT Sport 2

“After a run of three straight league defeats against West Brom, Leeds are unbeaten in four against the Baggies (W3 D1), with those three victories coming by an aggregate score of 10-0.”

Leeds have won without conceding in each of their last two games and you can back them to win to nil at 3.02/1.

Foxes value against struggling Spurs

Leicester 2.0811/10 v Tottenham 3.55/2; The Draw 4.3100/30
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on Sky Sports Football

“Leicester have won two of their last three league games against Tottenham (L1), as many as they had in their previous 12. They’re looking to complete their first league double over Spurs since 1998-99.”

Spurs were awful in midweek and Leicester look decent value at 2.0811/10 to win.

Liverpool will win final game

Liverpool 1.192/11 v Crystal Palace 19.5; The Draw 9.28/1
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on Sky Sports Main Event

“Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke has scored 10 Premier League goals this season, reaching double figures in the competition for the first time since 2016-17 (15). The Belgian has also scored five goals in his four away Premier League games against Liverpool – only Andy Cole (8) has scored more as a visiting.”

With Benteke in form, Palace could find the net and a Liverpool win and both teams to score could land at 2.77/4.

City have one eye on Champions League final

Manchester City 1.4640/85 v Everton 7.87/1; The Draw 5.39/2
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on Sky Sports Premier League

“Everton have won 11 Premier League away games this season, already their most in a single campaign in the competition. Their record for away wins in a single league campaign is 12, doing so in two different title-winning seasons in 1969-70 and 1984-85.”

Manchester City are likely to experiment ahead of the Champions League final, so Everton should be competitive. Back both teams to score at 1.910/11.

Blades are blunt

Sheffield United 2.942/1 v Burnley 2.466/4; The Draw 3.814/5
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on BT Sport 3

“Sheffield United have scored just 19 Premier League goals this season and could become the first ever top-flight team to fail to score at least 20 goals in a full season. In Football League history, the only team to go through an entire season and not score 20 goals was Loughborough in the second tier in 1899-1900, who won only one of their 34 games and scored just 18 times.”

Considering the lack of goals from the Blades, it’s a surprise to see under 2.5 goals as big as 2.166/5.

Hammers will nail European place

West Ham 1.784/5 v Southampton 5.04/1; The Draw 4.1
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on Sky One

“Southampton have lost nine of their 10 Premier League away games so far in 2021, with the only exception being a 2-0 victory at bottom side Sheffield United. Saints have conceded 30 goals in these nine defeats, scoring just seven in return.”

With West Ham still looking to secure Europa League qualification, back the hosts to win at 1.784/5.

United can continue unbeaten run

Wolves 2.6613/8 v Manchester United 2.747/4; The Draw 3.814/5
Sunday 23 May, 16:00
Live on BT Sport 1

“If Manchester United avoid defeat, they will become just the fourth side to remain unbeaten away from home across an entire English top-flight campaign, after Preston (1888-89), Arsenal (2001-02) and Arsenal again (2003-04).”

Even accounting for the fact that Manchester United will be distracted by the Europa League final, this is a big price for a team with such a good away record. United are 2.021/1 in the Draw No Bet market.
