Fantasy Premier League Week 6 Transfers and Tips: Rich fruit in the Garden of Eden

Jonny Evans – £4.9m. Leicester have kept one clean sheet so far this season. In that game, Jonny Evans started in place of Wes Morgan.

Ryan Sessegnon – £6.3m. Three starts and one assist through five games is not what was expected coming into the season. The 18 year-old found himself benched for the Burnley and Brighton games, which came as a shock to expectant fantasy gaffers. His recall at the Etihad shows that manager hasn’t lost faith in him and a lunchtime home game with Watford is a good place for him to open his Premier League account.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – £6.8m. Nearly one in four teams now carry the Serbian international but that should be even more. Four goals already this campaign and the newly-promoted club have shown they’ll score goals. Just like his playing partner above, this is a prime match for Mitrovic to add to his tally.

Roberto Pereyra – £6.3m. I don’t think it is any surprise that I’d take the Both Teams to Score in this one and at 8/13 on the Sportsbook, it is a very short price. Watford have scored in every game so far and the cheap midfielder has provided three of them. He has class and consistently pops up in attacking positions.

Wilfried Zaha – £7.0m. I still don’t understand why he isn’t selected in more teams. At the time of writing the number is 24.6% and all he’s done is score in three of his four games. With Christian Benteke out with a knee injury, Zaha will return to leading the line, which he did mightily impressively in the second half of last season. Easy pick this one.

Jonny Evans – £4.9m. Leicester have kept one clean sheet so far this season. In that game, Jonny Evans started in place of Wes Morgan. The latter is suspended following his red card at the Vitality Stadium last Saturday so the former is primed to return. With Huddersfield the visitors to the King Power, there aren’t many better clean sheet opportunities around.

Eden Hazard – £10.9m. This isn’t the most left-field pick I’ve ever typed in this column but it is time to think the Chelsea man is the best fantasy option around in terms of midfielders. A hat-trick last week followed up goals in back-to-back games. West Ham away is not anything to be fearful of. He was backed into [8.2] to be the Premier League top scorer last weekend.

James Milner – £5.6m. Gary Lineker tweeted the above about James Milner in the week and it is time to give him his fantasy due, for £5.6m you could do an awful lot worse for your 4th/5th midfielder. He is Liverpool’s penalty taker and is often found in attacking positions on the pitch, leading to two assists through five games. Southampton at Anfield on Saturday for the 32 year-old and his team mates.

Heung-Min Son – £8.3m. Spurs always look a much better side when the South Korean is bustling with attacking enthusiasm and this is the time to bring him back. A good performance in the Champions League showed his fitness levels were good and a trip to sunny Brighton at Saturday teatime is an ideal time for him to make his first EPL start of the season.

Theo Walcott – £6.6m. 10% of squads contain the former England international and that seems like too many. Everton games have seen BTTS in five straight but Arsenal away is certainly the toughest challenge so far. I’d look elsewhere to find better point scoring possibilities at that price.

Aboubakar Kamara – £4.5m. After starting the first two games of the season, the 23 year-old found himself the fantasy darling of the bargain hunter. The biggest problem is he’s not featured in the league since yet still has been selected by 9.6% of teams. Time to move on if you are one of them.

Eden Hazard is my gut feel here as the best captain pick available. Liverpool face Southampton at home with Manchester City on the road at Cardiff, both should provide the usual options. I really love Fulham to get a few so Aleksandar Mitrovic might be a real option as well.
