Champions League 2020-21: City, Bayern and Liverpool heads the odds after group draw

Manchester City have assumed a familiar position as favourites in the Champions League betting following today’s draw.

Punters are confident that City will be able to safely negotiate their way through a group containing Porto, Olympiakos and Marseille, making City [5.6] to lift the trophy next May.

Just a couple of ticks behind them in the betting are champions Bayern Munich who will face Atletico Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg, Lokomotiv Moscow.

And rounding out the favourites are Liverpool who have probably the toughest group of the trio with Ajax and Atalanta likely to provide a bit of competition in Group D. Midtjylland round out the quartet.

Manchester United are the big drifters after finding themselves up against last year’s beaten finalists Paris St-Germain, fourth favourites at [13.0], RB Leipzig, Istanbul Basaksehir. From [20.0] United are out to [30.0].

Chelsea have started the season in iffy form but the final Premier League team in the competition should be able to get out of a group also containing Sevilla, Krasnodar and Rennes.

Elsewhere, Juventus and Barcelona were drawn together in Group G with Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros and there’s another eye-catching La Liga-Serie A clash in Group B where Real Madrid and Inter Milan will meet with Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach making up a tough quartet.
