Lewis Wing kept Rotherham’s survival hopes bubbling with a late goal against Blackburn at the weekend and he looks sure to have a big part to play again in Tuesday’s televised Championship encounter.
A win for the Millers would keep their fate in their own hands heading into the final day so they are sure to have a go against a Luton side with little to play for.
Wing, on loan from Middlesbrough, has long been known for his ability to shoot from range and, as shown on Saturday, he’s a strong man to have on free kicks around the box.
He’s landed two or more shots in four of his last seven starts but two of those games saw him handed a defensive midfield role. Both saw him fail to produce a shot.
Wing looks sure to be in a more attacking position here (as he was on Saturday) and he should manage to fire off at least a couple of shots given his side’s need.
Doubling that option up with 1+ shot from Luton defender Sonny Bradley produces a decent price north of 2/1.
Bradley is a big threat from set-plays for the Hatters and he’s managed to land this in seven of his last 11 games. He had two shots in the recent clash with Bristol City and three against Watford, both games coming in the past three weeks.
Rotherham have struggled to defend set plays all season – only one team has conceded more than them from such situations.
One of the reasons for that is they have often offered up such chances to the opposition too regularly with Rotherham second in the Championship for fouls conceded and fifth for corners conceded.
In short, Luton should get opportunities from set-pieces, so Bradley is worth adding to the betslip.
