It’s a Championship action for Paul Robinson this evening as he believes he’s picked a sure-fire home treble. Here are his selections:
Bolton’s misery to continue
Bet 1: Back Birmingham @ 4/9 – KO 19:45 GMT
The Blues were coasting at 4-0 up at Loftus Road on Saturday, but they only narrowly escaped with the win, and that was thanks to QPR missing a last minute penalty.
A win is a win though for Birmingham and they shouldn’t have any trouble at St Andrew’s this evening. The visitors are Bolton and they are sliding towards League One.
The Trotters are second from bottom and have won just once since the end of September. They have taken just one point from a possible 18 of late, and away from home it’s six defeats in a row.
Hull to power on at home
Bet 2: Back Hull @ 3/4 – KO 19:45 GMT
Nigel Adkins‘ Hull City were beaten 2-0 at Derby at the weekend, but they remain in good form, and at home it’s five victories on the bounce.
Four of those wins were to nil, and they scored 16 goals during that period. Their excellent run has turned them from relegation candidates to Play-off contenders.
Rotherham travel to the KCOM having won just two of their last 25 matches in all competitions. They did draw their last two, but they were against Millwall and Wigan, and this is a much tougher assignment.
Their record on the road this season is played 15, drawn five and lost 10, scoring just eight goals.
Bristol City to continue their winning ways
Bet 3: Back Bristol City @ 17/20 – KO 19:45 GMT
We conclude with what should be another home victory as Bristol City take on QPR, with the hosts looking to solidify their place in the top six.
The Robins are on a run of eight straight wins in all competitions, and they are unbeaten in 14. At Ashton Gate it’s five wins on the bounce, and they haven’t lost in front of their own fans since the second weekend of November.
Rangers showed great heart to fight back from 4-0 down on Saturday, but they still came up short, and they still conceded four goals at home.
Steve McClaren’s side have lost three of their last five and they appear to be on the decline following an upturn in results.
