Thursday’s Daily Acca is a 16/1 treble that features two from the Championship as well as the Premier League clash at Old Trafford. Here are Paul Robinson’s selections:
Forest to get back on track
Bet 1: Back Nottingham Forest @ 1/1 – KO 19:45 GMT
Forest fell to their first defeat since October 24th on Boxing Day as they were beaten 2-0 at Middlesbrough.
While that was going on, Huddersfield were winning at home to Blackpool, which was their second straight victory.
Steve Cooper’s side are the better team though, and at the City Ground they are unbeaten in five – three of which were wins.
Derby to hold Stoke
Bet 2: Back The Draw in Stoke v Derby @ 5/2 – KO 19:45 GMT
The Rams are pretty much doomed due to their points deduction, but that hasn’t stopped them from winning their last two games, and I think they can take a point from their trip to Stoke.
The Potters are eighth, but they have games in hand over most of the teams above them.
Their record at home hasn’t been that great though, and they have won just one of their last five – drawing on two occasions.
Another low-scorer at Old Trafford
Bet 3: Back Under 2.5 Goals in Man United v Burnley @ 5/4 – KO 20:00 GMT
There has been a common theme since Ralf Rangnick took over at Old Trafford, and that is low-scoring affairs.
He’s been in charge for four games, and all four have seen this selection land – with two of them even seeing Under 1.5 backers collect.
Burnley have failed to score in each of their last three matches, but two of those finished 0-0. Four of their last five have ended with two goals or fewer being scored.
