The Betfair Sportsbook has seen a surge in the betting for Unai Emery to take over the vacant managerial position at West Ham. The Sevilla manager has just lead his team to a second successive Europa League tournament win.
Michael Bowers, Football Trader for Betfair commented: “With David Gold and Sullivan making it clear that they’re willing to spend big for a ‘big name’ manager after the departure of Big Sam, it’s no surprise to see the money coming for Unai Emery who is riding the wave of Sevilla’s Europa League success.
“We’ve been forced to slash Emery’s odds to 3/1 from 10/1 after a number of big bets and he could soon be favourite with Slaven Bilic drifting fast.”
