Opta Stats: Newcastle more likely to keep clean sheet than Liverpool

Burnley v Stoke (Saturday, 15:00)

Turf Moor is the stadium that has seen the fewest Premier League goals this season (35)

Burnley’s final home game before returning to the Championship is likely to follow a similar format to its predecessors. They have been involved in 11 successive fixtures with under 2.5 goals, the latest six of which have all gone under 1.5 too. Stoke might have put three past Tottenham’s generous defence last week, but five of their most recent seven away matches produced two goals or less.

Recommended Bet: Back under 2.5 goals @ [1.75]

QPR v Newcastle (Saturday, 15:00)

QPR have failed to strike in five of their last six matches against Newcastle

All of those showdowns took place this decade and the one goal that the Londoners did muster was a Loic Remy penalty. Though the John Carver experience hasn’t been an overly pleasant one for the Magpies, they have obtained clean sheets under him both at St James’ Park and on their travels, and QPR head into this contest fresh from both relegation and registering three zeroes in four games.

Recommended Bet: Back Newcastle to keep a clean sheet @ [3.8]

Tottenham v Hull (Saturday, 15:00)

Spurs have failed to score in their last two Premier League games

In addition to being winless in three league outings, Tottenham have only won half of their eight home clashes with sides 12th or lower this season, losing to West Brom, Newcastle and Aston Villa and being held by Crystal Palace, firing blanks in three of those encounters. Hull will therefore scent an opportunity, particularly because they have already avoided defeat at three top-six clubs (Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City).

Recommended Bet: Lay Tottenham to win @ [1.83]

Liverpool v Crystal Palace (Saturday, 17:30, Sky Sports 1)

Crystal Palace have netted in each of their last six Premier League matches against the Reds

Both-teams-to-score backers were paid out on each of the past five occasions that this pair collided, including all four scraps since Crystal Palace were promoted to the top tier in 2013. Liverpool haven’t been shut out in any of their ten Premier League home assignments since late December, while the Eagles have not just scored in but triumphed in seven of Alan Pardew’s nine road trips as boss.

Recommended Bet: Back both teams to score @ [2.0]
