We’re kicking off a new week in Spain, and Kev thinks there’ll be fireworks when Girona face Tenerife.
“Both teams need wins to stave off the challenge of their playoff rivals, and both sides have found the net in the vast majority of their matches.”
Promotion clash to entertain
Girona v Tenerife

Kalmar were just a bit too calm last night, as their 2-0 win over Hammarby left our Tobias a goal short in his Over 2.5 Goals bet. Sweden’s not a terrible place to spend the week, so it’s not all bad.
We’ll start in Spain, because Girona are up against Tenerife in the second tier, and both sides are in the mix for promotion. My wife and I once ended up in Girona by accident after a tipsy night in Barcelona, but that’s another story.
Both teams are in the playoff spots, but neither are certain to end up there. With rivals ready to pounce, there isn’t much scope for trying to dig out draws.
Girona have won their last four home games, and overall they have had seven wins across their last nine outings. Girona have scored in 30 of their 38 league games, which is useful for our purposes.
Tenerife have picked up three wins and two draws from their last five games, and they can usually be relied upon for a goal or two. They have scored in 28 of their 38 games.
Both sides usually score, and I think BTTS is attractively priced here, especially when you consider they are both pushing for promotion and need wins.
