Paul Robinson is hoping to have a good Friday in the Championship today, as his Daily Acca is a 13/2 odds boost from the second tier. Here are his selections:
A third defeat for Boro
Bet 1: Back Bournemouth @ 19/20 – KO 15:00 BST
The Cherries are edging their way closer to promotion, and they currently hold a four point advantage over Huddersfield in third.
They will need to pick up some more wins before the end of the campaign though, as Nottingham Forest are coming up on the rails too.
Today they host a Middlesbrough side that have just suffered two damaging defeats. They were beaten at home by both Fulham and Hull, and they are now down in eighth.
Given that Scott Parker’s men are unbeaten in six at home, it’s hard to see Chris Wilder’s visitors taking anything from their trip to the south coast.
A pleasing St Andrews’ return for the Sky Blues
Bet 2: Back Coventry 23/20 – KO 15:00 BST
Coventry completed the double over Fulham last weekend, a result which kind of sums up their season.
Overall it’s been a good one for the Sky Blues, as they are in 10th place, and while they are highly unlikely to make the top six, they are in good shape to finish in the top half.
Today they return to the ground where they played their home games for a couple of seasons. A trip to St Andrew’s will bring back good memories, and the Blues aren’t exactly firing at present.
Lee Bowyer’s men are in 18th place, and have lost two of their last four at home. They only managed to score one goal across those four outings.
Barnsley to fall to a damaging defeat
Bet 3: Back Swansea @ 13/20 – KO 15:00 BST
Swansea may only be 14th in the Championship, but they are on a roll, and should be able to beat a Barnsley team that are eight points from safety.
The Swans have taken 13 points from a possible 15 of late, and it’s four wins from their last six in front of their own fans.
The Tykes have improved a bit as the season has worn on, but they were beaten 4-1 at Millwall last Saturday, and in their away game prior to that, they lost 2-0 at Bramall Lane.
