Hungary v Serbia
Thursday 18:30
In Greece yesterday, Kalamaria did us like kippers as they beat Volos 1-0 to ruin our BTTS bet.
We’re looking for a positive result from one of today’s many international friendlies. Serbia have made the short trip to take on northern neighbours Hungary and we fancy the journey will be worth it for the visitors.
Serbia qualified impressively for this year’s World Cup. Dragan Stojkovic’s men went W6-D2-L0 to win a group containing Portugal and Republic of Ireland. On the road, they were W3-D1-L0 – including a win in Lisbon. In recent friendlies, the Eagles have showed no mercy, twice beating Qatar 4-0 towards the end of last year.
Hungary will not be anywhere near Qatar for the World Cup this winter. The Magyars finished fourth in England’s qualifying group, above only Andorra and San Marino. Both Albania and England beat them on their own patch. In home friendlies, Marco Rossi’s men are W2-D1-L6 since 2016 and we’ll take Serbia to inflict another defeat this evening.
