Paul Robinson delivered a 16/1 Daily Acca winner yesterday, and he’s aiming to make it back to back successes with this 4/1 shot. Here are his selections:
Both teams to score in the Bundesliga
Bet 1: Back BTTS in Bayern Munich v M’Gladbach @ 1/2 – KO 19:30 GMT
Borussia Mönchengladbach were in horrendous form prior to the winter break, but they a cracking recent record against Bayern, and I expect them to at least find the net tonight.
When they met in the cup in October, Adi Hütter’s side won 5-0, and when they met in the Bundesliga in August, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The German champions have been in excellent form this season, and they are already nine points clear at the top, but it’s just three clean sheets from their last six at home, and despite taking just two points during the period, the visitors have scored in each of their last four on the road.
Bordeaux to be beaten again
Bet 2: Back Marseille @ 8/13 – KO 20:00 GMT
Marseille start 2022 in third place in Ligue One, and while they won’t be challenging PSG for the title, they appear to be the most likely candidates to finish as runner-up.
Jorge Sampaoli’s men are unbeaten in five in all competitions, and they have won their last three away from home in Ligue One.
Bordeaux are their opponents this evening, and they signed off for Christmas with a 2-3 home defeat to Lille. They were then beaten 3-0 at Brest in the cup on January 2nd.
It’s also worth noting that they have won just once in front of their own fans this term – losing three of their last four.
No cricket score at the County Ground
Bet 3: Back Under 3.5 Goals in Swindon v Man City @ 1/1 – KO 20:00 GMT
Manchester City have been in rampant form in recent weeks, but I just don’t see them running up a huge score at Swindon in the third round of the FA Cup.
Pep Guardiola’s team faced Birmingham, Cheltenham and Swansea in their first three games in this competition last term, and they didn’t score more than three in any of them.
The year before, they started off against Port Vale, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday, and while they did notch four against the first two, the point is, they don’t have a history of thumping the lower-division sides.
Swindon are fifth in League Two, and their players will be massively up for this tie. Expect plenty of energy early, and if they can keep City out for the first half an hour or so, this bet has a great chance of landing.
