Football Bet of the Day: Rayo to sink Celta

Rayo Vallecano v Celta Vigo
Monday 17:30

In Spain yesterday, an Enes Unal brace helped Getafe get the result they wanted against Espanyol. Kev’s bet went down with the visitors – expect him to resurface somewhere exotic in a week’s time.

Meanwhile, we’re sticking in Spain for the first of tonight’s two La Liga games. Eighth-placed Rayo Vallecano host 14th-placed Celta Vigo and we like the odds-against price on a home win.

Rayo boss Andoni Iraola has known only success at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas. The newly promoted home side are a perfect W5-D0-L0 on their own patch this term. Four of those wins came against teams now in the bottom six, though the most recent was a 1-0 triumph over Barcelona.

Celta Vigo are just one place above the bottom six. They’re an even W2-D1-L2 on the road this term, but those two Ws came against the sides now bottom and second bottom of the table. Against the rest of the league, the Sky Blues have taken one point from nine. We like the odds on that becoming one point from 12 by tonight.
