The Daily Acca: A 9/2 National League Special

It’s National League action for Paul Robinson tonight, with his Daily Acca boosted from 7/2 to 9/2. Here are his selections:

Leaders to score and concede

Bet 1: Back BTTS in Altrincham v Grimsby @ 13/20 – KO 19:45 BST

Grimsby were relegated from League Two last season, but they are flying in the National League – topping the table after nine games, with 20 points.

They face a tricky fixture at Altrincham this evening though, with the hosts having won four of their last five, putting them five points behind the Mariners – with two games in hand.

Goals should be on the menu at Moss Lane, with the visitors’ last three on the road all seeing this selection land. The same can be said for two of Altrincham’s three at home this term.

Goals at Woking

Bet 2: Back BTTS in Woking v Dagenham & Redbridge @ 4/7 – KO 19:45 BST

The team who are currently second in the National League are Dagenham, but they head to Woking having been beaten in two of their last three matches.

Like the top fixture, I am expecting goals at both ends. The hosts are in good form having won their last two, with the scorelines being 3-1 and 4-1.

For the Daggers, seven of their nine this season have seen BTTS backers collect, and hopefully we will be collecting again this evening.

Wrexham to win again at home

Bet 3: Back Wrexham @ 5/6 – KO 19:45 BST

Wrexham are only 12th at this early stage of the National League season, and given the takeover and the appointment of Phil Parkinson as manager, they will definitely be hoping for better.

I think they can win tonight and get moving in the right direction, even though they are up against Chesterfield, who are in third.

Parkinson’s hosts have taken seven points from a possible nine at the Racecourse Ground this year – and that includes a recent victory over Dagenham.

Chesterfield were beaten 3-1 at Woking last time out, and prior to that they were held at home by Torquay.
