The Daily Acca: Favourites to oblige in the Europa League

Paul Robinson is focusing on the Europa League today, and his Daily Acca has been boosted to 4/1. Here are his selections:

Turkish delight for Marseille

Bet 1: Back Marseille @ 4/6 – KO 20:00 BST

Marseille could only draw their opening Group E fixture at Lokomotiv Moscow, but they are back on home soil tonight, and they have made a decent start to their domestic campaign too.

Jorge Sampaoli’s side are third in Ligue One, having taken 14 points from their first seven matches, and they will be desperate to bounce back from a weekend defeat against Lens.

Galatasaray are the visitors, and they conquered Lazio in their group opener, but that was in Turkey, and that is always a hard country to travel to. Since then they have lost two out of three league games, and they are up against it here.

Another defeat for Celtic

Bet 2: Back Leverkusen @ 19/20 – KO 20:00 BST

Celtic lost out in a seven goal thriller in their opening Group G fixture at Real Betis. They led 2-0 early on, but were 4-2 down by the hour, before scoring a late consolation.

Tonight they have home advantage, but they face an even better side in the shape of Bayer Leverkusen. The Germans won their opener, and in the Bundesliga, they are currently in second place.

Gerardo Seoane’s team have won their last three matches, and only Dortmund have been able to beat them this term.

Italians to cruise to victory

Bet 3: Back Lazio @ 1/3 – KO 20:00 BST

Lazio need to win their match tonight, given that they were beaten in their Group E opener. Luckily for them, they face Lokomotiv Moscow, who are arguably the weakest side in the group.

Maurizio Sarri’s hosts will be on a high after beating rivals, Roma, on Sunday, and as it was their first win for four games, it would have been doubly satisfying.

The visitors have gone three without a win in all competitions, and they look set to struggle in this group – especially away from home.
