We’re returning to Norway, and Kev’s backing the champions to show their quality against Haugesund.
Champions to win in style
Bodo/Glimt v Haugesund
Thursday 27 May, 17:00
The Billy Goats of Köln stumbled last night, and they took us down with them. A tepid performance in the first leg of the Bundesliga relegation playoff saw the hosts go down 1-0 against Holstein Kiel, and they are in serious danger of tumbling out of the top flight.
We’ll head to the Norwegian top division now, and we’ll check in with the champions Bodo/Glimt. They stormed to their first ever Eliteserien title last season with a swashbuckling style that caught the established big guns like Molde and Rosenborg on the top. Despite losing the likes of Jens Petter Hauge (Milan), Kasper Junger (Urawa Reds) and Philip Zinckernagel (Watford), Kjetil Knutsen’s side have made an unbeaten start to the season.
Bodo/Glimt have taken ten points from their first four matches, and it would’ve been maximum points had they not conceded a late equaliser against Rosenborg. There have been at least three goals in 25 of the last 30 Bodo/Glimt home games in the Eliteserien, and they have won 24 of those matches.
Haugesund have started the season with back-to-back goalless draws, and they were thrashed 4-0 by Bodo/Glimt back in December. Stretching back into last season, eight of their last ten away games at this level have seen an Over 2.5 Goals bet land.
I’ll back Bodo/Glimt to win and Over 2.5 Goals at 1.9420/21 on the Sportsbook’s Bet Builder.
