Tykes to be turned over at Oakwell
Bet 1: Back Coventry @ 11/5 – KO 15:00 BST
Barnsley only narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship last season, and they have lost both matches of their new campaign – they were also thumped 6-0 at Chelsea in the week.
The Sky Blues are new to this division following their promotion from League One, and after falling to a narrow 2-1 loss at Bristol City on the opening weekend, they bounced back to beat QPR just over a week ago.
The visitors are a big price here and I would actually strongly argue that Mark Robins’ men are the better side.
Peterborough to be beaten
Bet 2: Back Sunderland @ 21/20 – KO 15:00 BST
The Black Cats have taken four points from a possible six as they once again try and earn promotion back to the second tier.
They were held by Bristol Rovers, before going on to win 2-0 at Oxford last Saturday. Phil Parkinson has a strong squad at his disposal, and they will surely be in and around the top three of four this term.
Posh ended up outside of the Play-offs on PPG last season, which is something which must still frustrate them. They have won one and lost one so far this year, but the defeat came away from home, and they didn’t have the best record on the road in the previous campaign.
All square in East Midlands
Bet 3: Back The Draw in Derby v Blackburn @ 9/4 – KO 15:00 BST
Derby’s terrible start to the season continued last weekend, as they were beaten 2-1 at Luton. That made it two defeats from two in the league, and in the cup they needed penalties to beat Barrow, and were then dumped out at home by Preston.
Blackburn put a 3-2 loss at Bournemouth behind them by thumping Wycombe 5-0 last Saturday, and they only narrowly lost 1-0 at Newcastle in the cup.
Tony Mowbray’s team are more than capable of earning a point from their trip to Pride Park, as the Rams continue to struggle.
