Second-string Wolves to be strong enough

There is no chance that Nuno Espírito Santo will field his strongest XI for this League Cup tie, but they have home advantage against Stoke, and I expect them to prove too strong for the Championship side.
Wolves looked good in their Premier League opener against Sheffield United, and there was plenty of strength on the bench in the shape of Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and new signing, Fabio Silva.
The Potters, meanwhile, could only draw with Millwall, and with Bristol City coming up on Sunday, I don’t expect them to play their strongest team either.
Brighton to win the South Coast battle

The Seagulls showed plenty of promise against Chelsea, despite losing 3-1. They play some good football under Graham Potter, and with some shrewd signings made, I doubt that they will be involved in a relegation scrap.
Like Wolves, it is doubtful that the Premier League side will play all of their stars ahead of a trip to Newcastle at the weekend. However, the same can arguably said of opponents, Portsmouth, who make the short trip to the Amex, coming off the back of a 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury in League One.
L’OM to make it three from three
Bet 3: Back Marseille @ 17/20 – KO 20:00 BST
We finish in France, where PSG’s conquerors are too much of a big price to leave out, at home to St Etienne.
André Villas-Boas‘ men beat the reigning champions in an event filled match on Sunday, and while they will be without the suspended duo of Amavi and Benedetto, last year’s runners-up are on a roll at present.
The visitors could only finish 17th last term, and while they have won their opening two matches of this campaign, they were both at home, and came against Lorient and Strasbourg – neither of whom are in Marseille’s class.
