Wednesday’s edition of the Daily Acca is a 5/1 treble that features matches throughout the night. Here are Paul Robinson’s selections:
Atletico PR to remain in the doldrums
Bet 1: Back Sao Paulo 1/1 – KO 23:00 BST
Sao Paulo won their opening game of the Brazilian Serie A season, and after picking up just one point from their next two matches, they returned to winning ways at Sport Recife last time.
Tonight they take on an Atletico PR side that finished one place above them last year, but things aren’t going as well for Dorival Júnior’s men this time around, as they come into the fixture on the back of three straight defeats.
The biggest concern about that is that the latest two of those losses were on their own patch – a place where they are historically very strong.
Corinthians to make it back to back wins
Bet 2: Back Corinthians @ 10/11 – KO 01:30 BST (Thurs)
The selection opened up their campaign with a defeat at Atletico Mineiro – in a game that they led 0-2 in – but they have since put that behind them by drawing at Gremio and beating Coritiba most recently.
Fortaleza did exceptionally well to finish in ninth place last year, as they had only recently been promoted. They have already been beaten twice this term though, and while they won 1-3 at Goias last week, their opponents that day are one of the weakest sides in the division.
Fireworks in the USA
Bet 3: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Real Salt Lake v Los Angeles @ 8/15 – KO 02:30 BST (Thurs)
Real Salt Lake put a couple of defeats behind them by returning to form and beating Colorado Rapids 1-4 at the weekend, and that was their second successive match to be very high-scoring.
Los Angeles will be smarting following their shock 0-2 defeat to rivals LA Galaxy on Saturday night, and that came on the back of a penalty shoot-out loss to Orlando.
Bob Bradley will be expecting a reaction from his players, and they are more than capable of racking up a few goals when on-song.
