After a perfect start to the week, Kev’s taking us to Iceland, because he’s found a home team in good form with a big price.
Hosts to continue strong home form
Fylkir v Vikingur Reykjavik
Wednesday September 18, 20:15
A second success in two attempts this week, as Degerfors’ 2-1 win over Mjallby yielded a winner at evens. I stupidly smashed my elbow on the bannister yesterday as well, so I like to think the cosmic balance has been restored.
We’ll try to tip the balance further in our favour tonight, as we go to Iceland. Fylkir are up against Vikingur Reykjavik, and I believe the hosts are overpriced.
Both teams are in lower mid-table, but Fylkir’s recent home form is a source of encouragement. They have won five of their nine league matches at Wurth Volurinn, including five of the last six. They haven’t failed to score at home since May.
Vikingur are on a decent run themselves, with three league wins from the last four attempts. However, they have only won twice on the road in the Urvalsdeild, and they have lost three of their last four league away games.
Vikingur have lost on two of their last three visits to Fylkir and I think they might struggle again here. I’ll back the home side Draw No Bet at [2.08].
