The Daily Acca: Halifax to defy the odds

Halifax are a great investment

Bet 1: Back Halifax Town @ 21/10 – KO 19:45 BST

The Shaymen are riding high in second place in the table, and I can’t believe how good a price they are to win at Chesterfield this evening.

The visitors have won their last three outings, with the latest being an impressive 2-1 victory over the highly-touted, Solihill Moors.

Chesterfield, meanwhile, are third from bottom and are yet to win a game this season. Their pre-season friendly results were a string of losses too, and at home it’s two defeats and two draws, to date.

Goals on the menu in Yorkshire

Bet 2: Back BTTS in Harrogate Town v Chorley @ 13/20 – KO 19:45 BST

The hosts haven’t made too great a start to their campaign, as after finishing sixth last year, they are only 18th this time around.

Simon Weaver’s side are yet to keep a clean sheet in front of their own fans this term, and that has led to two of their four home matches seeing this selection land.

Chorley are bottom of the table, and they come into the game having lost 5-1 at Notts County and 3-1 at home to Boreham Wood.

Despite their struggles, they have netted in three of their four away fixtures, as three of the four have had goals at both ends.

Fylde’s goal-run to continue

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Stockport County v Fylde @ 6/10 – KO 19:45 BST

Stockport Country have been promoted from the National League North, and they are making another challenge for promotion, if their early season form is anything to go by.

Jim Gannon’s side are sixth in the league, and have won four of their last five. At home it’s three straight successes, but it’s just two clean sheets in four.

Fylde are in mid-table, which is poor considering their Play-off finish last year. They have gone five without a win, but three of them were draws.

As far as the goals go, all four of their away matches have seen BTTS backers collect, and I can see no reason why it shouldn’t become five out of five this evening.
