Goals galore in Glasgow
Bet 1: Back Celtic & Over 3.5 Goals @ 8/13 – KO 19:45 BST
The Bhoys couldn’t have been handed much of an easier draw at this stage of the competition, and they are heavy favourites to progress.
The home leg should be a walk in the park for Neil Lennon’s side and I fully expect them to give their opponents a good thrashing.
They did only beat Sarajevo 2-1 in the home leg of the previous round, but they won 3-1 away, and Leigh Griffiths integration back into the first team continued.
Opponents, Nomme Kalju, are an Estonian club who upset Shkendija in the last round. This is their first appearance in this competition since 2013, and while they are currently unbeaten in their domestic league, they aren’t on Celtic’s level.
Few chances to be had at Dundalk
Bet 2: Back Under 1.5 Goals in Dundalk v Qarabag @ 6/5 – KO 19:45 BST
Over to Ireland now for Dundalk’s fixture against Qarabag. The visitors have plenty of experience in Europe of late, and this will be a tricky test for the reigning Irish champions.
What Vinny Perth’s men are good at though is keeping clean sheets. They have kept four in their last five outings on this ground – including against Riga in the last round of this competition.
The hosts will be desperate to not concede an away goal, and I expect a very tense affair. The Azerbaijan visitors drew 0-0 in the away leg in the last round, and they will know that it will be very hard for Dundalk to get a result at their place.
Finnish to showcase their finishing ability
Bet 3: Back BTTS in Crvena Zvezda v HJK @ 5/4 – KO 19:45 BST
HJK are the Finnish champions, but they aren’t expected to cause Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) too many problems.
The Serbs made it through to the group phase of the Champions League last year, and they had it tough against Liverpool, PSG and Napoli.
They performed with credit though – especially at home – taking four points from their three matches, including a win over the eventual winners, Liverpool.
They aren’t fully revved up yet this season though, while HJK are well into their domestic campaign. They are also free-scoring, and I fancy them to get on the scoresheet this evening.
