Union to stand firm
Bet 1: Back Philadelphia @ 4/6 – KO 00:00 BST (Sun)
These two teams met in Florida during the week, and it was Philadelphia who returned north with the win. Orlando weren’t aided by the fact that they had two players sent off, but I still don’t expect them to turn around the result today.
Jim Curtin’s side are top of the Eastern Conference having won 10 of their 20 fixtures this term, with six of those coming in this stadium.
The visitors have been very hit and miss lately, as they have won three and lost four of their last seven matches. Away from home it’s three defeats from their last five, and they appear up against it today.
Canadians to prove too strong at home
Bet 2: Back Montreal Impact @ 6/5 – KO 00:30 BST (Sun)
The hosts slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Atlanta United last weekend, but they are back on home soil today, and their record at the Saputo Stadium is pretty decent.
Remi Garde’s men have taken nine points from a possible 12 in front of their own fans recently, and their overall home record this season is played eight, won five, drawn one and lost two.
Opponents, Minnesota United, are fifth in the Western Conference, but most of their success has come at Allianz Field.
The Loons have been beaten in all of their last four away games, conceding 10 goals in the process. Admittedly they have won their last four matches in all competitions, but two of those were in the cup, and three of them were at home.
A morale boosting point for struggling MLS club
Bet 3: Back The Draw in Cincinnati v Houston Dynamo @ 27/10 – KO 00:30 BST (Sun)
We finish in Ohio for Cincinnati’s fixture against Houston Dynamo, and I believe there is every chance that it will end all square.
The Orange and Blue are new to the MLS, and as expected, they are struggling somewhat. After 18 games they currently prop up the Eastern Conference, but they have only played seven times at home, and they at least won one and drew two of those outings.
Houston Dynamo are sixth in the Western Conference, and while they returned to form with a 4-0 thumping of the New York Red Bulls during the week, it’s hard to forget that they had lost their three previous games, and won just one of their last eight.
