Arsenal to match Valencia’s away goal
Bet 1: Back BTTS in Valencia v Arsenal @ 8/15 – KO 20:00 BST
The Gunners take a 3-1 lead to Spain but as it’s them, there are no guarantees that they will make the final Their away form is pretty shocking for a club of their stature, although it has to be noted that I had the same concerns ahead of their 1-0 win in Napoli.
One thing that should be guaranteed however is goals. The hosts obviously have to get on the front foot to overturn the deficit, and Unai Emery’s men are far better going forward than they are at the back.
They have scored in every away Europa League match this season, apart from their group game at BATE, and in strikers, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, they have two players who are capable of finding the net at the highest level.
Blues to book their place in the final
Bet 2: Back Chelsea & BTTS @ 17/10 – KO 20:00 BST
The other Europa League semi comes from Stamford Bridge and while I fancy the Blues to win and book their place in the final, I can’t see them keeping a clean sheet.
Eintracht Frankfurt have seen their form drop off at just the wrong time, as they are now in danger of missing out on qualifying for next year’s Champions League.
They are fourth in the Bundesliga, but Bayer Leverkusen are level on points with them, and they are facing an exit from this competition tonight.
In the quarter-finals they were beaten 4-2 at Benfica, and they shipped six goals in a 6-1 defeat at Leverkusen on Sunday.
For Chelsea, Eden Hazard missed the match in Germany, but he will surely start now that their position in the top four is confirmed.
Boca to progress as group winners
Bet 3: Back Boca Juniors @ 4/7 – KO 01:30 BST (Fri)
We finish in the Copa Libertadores for Boca Juniors’ fixture with Atletico PR and I can’t see anything other than a home win.
The visitors have already qualified for the next round thanks to three wins from their five outings to date. One of those victories was in the reverse fixture, but that was in Brazil, and Boca will be out for revenge.
Last year’s finalists are pretty much guaranteed to go through, but they need to win to top the group, and given their experience of this competition, that is definitely something that they will be striving for.
At home it’s seven straight wins for them in all competitions – one on penalties – and they conceded just the one goal during that period.
