Football Bet of the Day: Defences to take a pounding in Stirling

Stirling v Albion
Tuesday 19:45

Alaves kept it tight in the Basque Country last night, beating Levante 2-0 and downing our BTTS bet.

We’re sure there was a time when Stirling Albion was one club, but it seems Stirling are now playing Albion in Scottish League Two this evening and it could be quite the tear-up.

Hosts Stirling are up to fifth in the 10-team league, having taken 16 points from a possible 18 since Christmas. At Forthbank Stadium, they are W4-D1-L0 since early November, despite conceding in 4/5 of those games. Going all the way back to February last year, the Binos have managed clean sheets in just 2/16 home league games.

Visiting Albion are rock bottom of Scottish League Two, having won just one of their first 22 matches. On the road, they’ve accrued two points from a possible 30. Results wise, then, they’ve been woeful, but their scoring record is a little better and we fancy they can find the back of the net this evening. Their last three road games have finished 1-3, 2-2, 2-4. They’ve scored at least once in 6/7 away from home and we fancy they can grab a goal against tonight’s surprisingly shaky home defence.
